Apply Now For the 2013 New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute Class

The New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI), is currently accepting applications for the 2013 class. NORLI was established in 1999 as a program dedicated to fostering and connecting current and future leaders within the community. Since its inception, the program has graduated over 300 local leaders.

Each year, the nine month program accepts 40 applicants and takes them on a journey that includes seven full day training or activity sessions and two weekend retreats. The full cost of the program, including meals and retreat expenses, is $2,500. In some cases the cost of the program is covered by an employer or sponsor. The program also has a tuition grant fund to provide need-based assistance.

“NORLI celebrates diversity and regionalism, reminds me of the breadth of our workforce in Southeast Louisiana, and has given me tools and experience to work with a full spectrum of leaders,” shared Tung Ly, a 2012 NORLI class participant.

According to the website, “The NORLI Selection Committee will seek to identify those who are most likely to utilize their leadership abilities for the long-term benefit of our region… The program is not a starting point, but rather a process for men and women who are both acknowledged and aspiring leaders.”

GNO, Inc., a sponsoring organization of NORLI, states, “Participants experience a variety of statewide issues presented through lectures, on-site visits, readings, discussion groups, simulations, and other leadership development activities.”

Applications are currently open and will be accepted through Friday, May 4th, 2012. Those interested in applying can learn more at NORLI.org or click here to apply.
