James McNamara, President and CEO of the BioDistrict New Orleans appeared on WWLTV Tuesday to discuss the growth of the BioDistrict. He also discussed a workshop taking place this Sunday and Monday with a goal of further connecting the BioDistrict to the community and local industries.
Presenters at the workshop, to be held Sunday, April 15th and Monday, April 16th, 2012 include Aaron Miscenich, President of the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, Ruth Shuman, a Program Director for the National Science Foundation, Tony Boccanfuso, Executive Director of the National Academies University Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP), and many more.
The opening reception and poster presentations will take place at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel in New Orleans on Sunday evening, while Monday’s main event will be at Xavier University in the University Center Ballroom. The full workshop agenda is available here.
