Silicon Bayou News and Launch Pad Ignition are teaming up to present an online pitch competition this Thursday during Launch Fest.
Have a great idea and want to test it out in front of an audience of investors and start-up experts? Want to win two tickets to Jazz Fest? Attend Launch Fest and enter the online pitch competition!
On Thursday morning, May 3rd, during the early sessions at Launch Fest, the pitch competition will be opened on VoteIt.com, an online consensus-building platform and 2012 Ignition company. Two winners will each receive two tickets to Jazz Fest.
Anyone who would like to participate can pitch their idea through the platform by adding it as an option. Participants are encouraged to upload images and other details to support their pitch and then share it around the interwebs using the #launchfest hashtag.
Online voting will be closed at 1:00 PM central. One winner will be selected from the online voting, and a second winner will be selected by a panel of judges including speakers and investors associated with Launch Fest. The pitching all takes place online – no need to stand up in front of the crowd. Each winner will receive two single-day adult tickets to Jazz Fest.
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. The two winners will be announced at 2:30 PM after the 2012 Ignition class pitches. Register to attend Launch Fest through Eventbrite here or check out more info on Lanyrd.
Participants are encouraged to sign-up on VoteIt.com prior to the competition and become familiar with the voting options.
