Moonbot Studios made a big announcement last week. The company is collaborating with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to launch a new title, Diggs Nightcrawler, for their Sony Playstation Wonderbook platform. The Wonderbook platform was designed in an effort to expand the way people use the PlayStation Move.
Wonderbook is an interactive book that uses Augmented Reality technology and PlayStation Move products to bring stories to life before your eyes. The Augmented Reality was developed by London Studio – the team behind EyeToy and EyePet. The technology used does not compete with other projects out there and isn’t designed for hard core gamers, yet.
Moonbot is truly a company that tells innovative stories. Partnering with Sony allows the company to take its innovative storytelling to the next level. Diggs Nightcrawler is a mystery that is based on the classic Film Noir stories of the 1930s and 40s. The game will be a wonderful combination of animation and compelling narrative.
There is an entire series of augmented reality books/games rolling out. Author J.K.Rowling is debuting Book of Spells to bring the Harry Potter stories to life on the PS Move.
