Louisiana Technology Road Show is Back and Accepting Applications

The Louisiana Technology Council is giving entrepreneurs across the state a chance to showcase their innovative technologies in four regions (Shreveport/Bossier, Lafeyette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans) at the 2012 Technology Road Show in September. Presenters will have the opportunity to expand outside of their usual residences and connect to other young, entrepreneurial companies.

The LTC said the companies chosen will reflect those in state that are making a difference in technology. The LTC said they, “wish to share, market and promote [the presenters] business and unique technologies with others.”

Applications must be for existing technology already in use and are due by Monday, July 30th at 5:00 PM CST. Each presenter chosen will address audiences in 3 of the 4 regions and there is a $100 fee to participate in each city.

Last year, the Louisiana Technology Council selected nine companies to participate in the Tech Road Show to, “educate and create a greatest awareness of the technology initiatives going on in Louisiana, and to help Louisiana businesses work more closely together.” This year, they wrote a word of advice to potential presenters:

“Be creative with your application, and presentation, and most of all give us something exciting that will make our audience of business and technology professionals from all over the State glad they attended the Technology Road Show.  We want you to leave attendees thinking and talking about why they enjoyed learning more about your technology.”
