This Friday, August 3rd, the Louisiana Technology Park is hosting a Lunch and Learn event that will cover crowdfunding. The event description explains further, “A recent piece of federal legislation known as the JOBS Act has now made it legal (beginning in 2013) to raise up to $1 million in equity in a “crowdsourced” round – meaning smaller amounts from non-accredited investors.” From 12:00 to 1:00pm, attendees can enjoy the free event while learning about new legislation and what it could mean for businesses.
