The men behind Phaze 5, Trey DeArk and Terrance Green, have created FLASHr, an LED flash notification case for the iPhone. The idea is simple. Whenever your phone receives a notification, it lights up because the system is powered by the iPhone’s LED camera flash. Phone calls, texts, and other push notifications become hard to miss. It’s the ultimate customizable iPhone 4/4s case, with over one hundred different color combinations.
Trey works as a mechanical designer to bring out the functionality of the case and Terrance is a musician that brings a creative elements to the design. The sleek design is essentially three extra pieces of material that reflect the LED light feature to give phones an all around, colored glow.
FLASHr is now available on Kickstarter and has been covered on Mashable, Tech Crunch, 9t05mac and more. With 17 days to go, the campaign as already raised $28,845 out of the $75,000 goal. There have been 620 backers so far, and more are sure to come in the next two and a half weeks. If the project gets funded, the case will be available in 125 colors for about $35 each.
