Uptown PR specializes in public and media relations, event and product promotion, and social media and brand management in New Orleans. Today, team members and supporters are celebrating the company’s one year anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony is also being held to unveil the new office space at 4306 Magazine Street and celebrate past, current, and future clients.
The ceremony begins in conjunction with the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce this afternoon at 4:30 pm. At 5:00 pm, guests can mix and mingle in the new loft-style space on Magazine.
“We are so privileged to be able to celebrate our first year in business, especially in this trying economy,” said Founder and Executive Director Genevieve Douglass. “This is an opportunity to show our gratitude to the clients and associates that have contributed to the success we have achieved thus far.”
After working for six years in the industry, Genevieve started Uptown PR in the fall of last year because she saw a need for PR and marketing support by local small businesses that couldn’t always afford larger agencies. She thought Uptown PR could fill that niche, and so it did. Already with two full time employees and two interns, the company has seen tremendous growth. Their current clients include Alliance Insurance, Big Easy Rollergirls, Guest Law Firm, The Kupcake Factory, Purely e, Tallulah’s Designs, and the Unknown Traditions Book Series.
Genevieve said they, “eventually want to focus solely on Fashion and Design industries and grow the firm to specifically be a Fashion and Design PR house. With our One Year Anniversary, we have also launched a new branch of our company – Blog Coalition. Blog Coalition is a blogger relations branch of our firm that connects brands with the appropriate blogger outlet in order for them to reach a designated audience efficiently.”
