LifeCity is Hosting a Fundraiser Happy Hour for SELA Disaster Recovery Committee

LifeCity is hosting its happy hour this month to raise money for the Committee For Plaquemines Recovery after the damage that was done during Hurricane Isaac. The Green Drinks “Zero Waste, Zero Flooding: Plaquemines Parish Fundraiser”event will be held next Thursday, September 13, from 5 – 7pm at Cafe Instanbul.

There will be a suggested donation of $5 from every attendee. Additionally, 25% from every LifeCity Green Card purchased at the event will help support relief efforts.

LifeCity supports the development of an Impact Economy in the GNO area. In an effort to stimulate the economy in a sustainable, green way, LifeCity helps businesses three ways: by improving their bottom line, enabling them to become a Certified Green Business, and to keep Louisiana beautiful. The LifeCity team certifies many green businesses around the city and then sells the “Green Card” which benefits everyone, from the businesses to the card holders. Card holders get discounts at the businesses around the city, which in turn makes their lives greener!

Below is the Green Drinks Agenda for the event:

  • 5:00-6:00 pm: Impact Hour: Networking of local social and environmentally responsible companies
  • 6:00 pm: Sponsor Presentations: Committee for Plaquemines Recovery, FutureProof, The Building Block
