This month’s Innovation Take-Out is tomorrow night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Lyceum. The event will be host to international speaker James Digby, Co-founder of Rockstart Accelerator and founder of Startup Weekend in the UK and the Netherlands.
Originally from Copenhagen, Digby is visiting the states for a few weeks with his Rockstart Accelerator startups. He will spend most of his time in San Francisco and Silicon Valley but is making a special appearance in Baton Rouge at tonight’s event.
Digby is deeply involved in the European startup scene. He plans to launch the Nordic Startup Awards this fall where competitions will be held in the five Nordic countries, culminating in the final awards in Copenhagen.
Innovation Take-Out is a series of meetups in Baton Rouge created to accelerate good ideas. The events are in conjunction with the Regional Innovation Organization (RIO). The event release mentions the type of people that come to the events are innovators and forward thinkers. All entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend tonight’s event.
