Back in August, SBN covered the details of Startup Weekend Shreveport, happening the weekend of October 26-28th, 2012. Now, the 54 hour event will also include a tour of Moonbot Studios and a host of other added speakers, coaches, and judges. The tour of the studio will take place on Friday afternoon and the first 20 people who register online.
All are welcome at the event– creatives, entrepreneurs, designers, developers, non-techies, and everyone in between. Organizers of the event just want everyone to be enthusiastic about creating something in the short 54 hours that people will be together. The cost of the event is only $99 which covers the seven meals provided during the event.
The CoHab newsletter sent out earlier today mentioned the panel of judges is still growing, but the few confirmed judges include:
- John F. George, Jr., MD, Owner and Manager of G6 Management, LLC
- Ross Barrett, Venture Capital Fund Manager at BVM Capital
- John E. Atkins, Principal and Partner at Atco Investment Company, LLC
- Jeff Key, Development Manager at New Tech Computer Systems
- Rand Falbaum, President/CEO of Gordon, Inc.
All of the Startup Weekend entrepreneurs and attendees will receive expert advice from the brightest in the Shreveport/Bossier region. Confirmed coaches include Stuart Clason, Angie White, Josh Clayton, Judy Williams, Kathy Wyatt, Sara Hebert, Wendell Riley, Jeremy Cave, Allison Defata, Kyle Restig, Everardo Recindez, Karen Johnson, Debbie Inman, Bill Bigler, Kevin Smith, Sean McDonald, Keith Simpson, Keith Hanson, Lynn Cawthorne, Karen Wissing, and Cynthia Robertson.
If that wasn’t enough information to take in at once, there will also be two special guest speakers at the event, including Linda Biernacki, President of Fire Tech Systems, Inc. and Stewart Hamel, Managing Principal of Hamel Interests.
