Applications for Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans Class of 2013 Now Open

Emerging Philathropists of New OrleansThe Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans have opened applications for the Class of 2013. The initiative was created to engage young leaders in New Orleans in philanthropy.

The 2013 Class will participate in a high-engagement, six-month program where they will be able to participate in sessions, get hands-on experience, and join a team with members who have the same mission as you do. Past teams have included: Arts and Culture, Children and Youth, Education, Environment, Economic Development, Healthcare and Housing.

Inspire. Impact. Connect. Those are the core concepts behind the Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans as they hope to positively impact chance in the Greater New Orleans region.

Since the initiative’s inception four years ago, they have distributed $122,000 in grants to 29 local organizations and facilitated more than 120 young professionals to complete the grant making program.

One EPNO alum said, “Participating in EPNO not only will teach you to become a strategic philanthropist, it also will connect you with interesting people and organizations in New Orleans.”
