We’re seeking passionate and multi-talented college students for a summer internship at Silicon Bayou News! We’re looking for an editorial/sales intern who is comfortable writing for us in addition to various sales tasks throughout the summer. Details are as follows:
- The 3-month internship (May – July 2013) is for college credit only
- Preferred majors include communications, journalism, and business but all majors will be considered
- Potential responsibilities: interviewing entrepreneurs, writing one to two stories per week, reaching out to sales leads, selling sponsorships, helping plan events such as the Silicon Bayou 100, seeking out new contributing writers, etc.
- This internship is flexible, around 10 hours a week, and allows for most work to be done at home
