Considering getting involved in a startup? Wanting to start your own company but unsure if you have the right idea, or the right timing?
Eric Lavin is the featured speaker for this month’s NOLA Meetup, which will be held at Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar tomorrow night, June 18th, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
NOLA Meetup attendees will hear Eric Lavin’s guidelines on “how to find your way into a startup.” A discussion will follow where attendees will share their experiences and will build a list of the best resources for new entrepreneurs.
Since graduating from Tulane in 2009, Eric taught in the Mississippi Delta for Teach For America (TFA), worked as a consultant at Next Street in New York, and, in January of this year, assumed the role of CEO of Whetstone Education. Whetstone was an EdTech company that was a part of the Idea Village’s 2012 IDEAxcelerator class.
“Every entrepreneur’s experience is unique,” said Lavin, “but there are some fundamentals to the game and I hope that by sharing my perspective, it will help you write your own entrepreneur story.”
We look forward to seeing you there! You can pre-register online now at meetup.com/nolameetup.
