The University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation has confirmed a new lease agreement with the world leader in food and bio/pharmaceutical products testing company Eurofins.
The Eurofins laboratories will occupy 40,000 square feet in UNO’s Technology Park.
“When Eurofins chose to expand its chemistry and microbiology laboratories, the UNO Research and Technology Park quickly became the obvious choice because the proximity to the UNO campus provides access to innovative researchers in a truly unique atmosphere along the scenic lakefront,” said John Reuther, President of Eurofins Analytical Laboratories.
Eurofins is one of the international market leaders in agroscience, genomics, discovery pharmacology and central laboratory services. Eurofins offers a portfolio of over 100,000 reliable analytical methods for evaluating the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin and purity of biological substances and products.
“Eurofins has laboratories in more than 35 countries, and the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation couldn’t be more proud that they’ve chosen to expand here,” said Eileen Kennedy Byrne, President and CEO of the UNO Research & Technology Foundation. “We’re certain this partnership between Eurofins and the University of New Orleans will produce cutting-edge research that will benefit both parties and the City of New Orleans.”
