This October 3rd-5th, Great Minds in STEM will be bringing the HENAAC conference to New Orleans to showcase and honor the work of aspiring students, leaders, and corporations in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
Great Minds in STEM has put together an awesome array of offerings to ensure this is a great conference.
The 25th annual Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award: This award will be given out to honor those whose careers will “show high school, college and professional communities that there is a successful pathway to a STEM career.”
Cutting Edge Seminars: The talks include “Hacking the Brain: The Ultimate Frontier,” “Orion: Next Generation Spacecraft,” “Engineering a Floating City,” and “Structural Design & Analysis For Commercial Aircrafts” given by respectively Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Huntington Ingalls Industries, and The Boeing Company.
College Bowl XIV: An exciting competition where teams of students, coached and judged by industry and government members, showcase their talent, teamwork, and leadership skills on a platform where they can win scholarships.
Protégé Mentorship program: Students will be linked with professionals to learn more about their field of interests through a series of speed mentoring sessions.
Technical Poster Competition: High school students, undergrads, and graduate students will submit posters and present on their summer research, internship, senior design project, thesis, and dissertations.
