CompuCure, a New Orleans based IT firm, is an economic leader and key player in the local tech scene. The company was recently named to Inc. Magazine’s 500|5000 annual list of the nation’s fastest growing private companies.
Post Katrina, the company returned to New Orleans with three employees. They are now up to 26 full time employees. In the last three years, CompuCure has grown 66%, increasing revenue from $2.5 million in 2009 to $4.2 million in 2012.
“We’re honored to have been named to the Inc. 500|5000 list, and feel great pride in having been included among a group of such distinguished business and individuals,” said Angelina Parker, Chief Executive Officer of CompuCure. “Having worked in multiple crisis conditions, including the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we know that unforeseen circumstances are the norm. We believe strength comes from muscular adaptability.”
The company, which provides technology solutions to the public and private sectors, also ranked as a “Top Company in Louisiana” on the 2013 Inc. 5000.
Parker continues, “At CompuCure, we believe even the most challenging obstacles – IT and otherwise – can be surmounted by reverse-engineering successful scenarios.”
Eric Schurenberg, Editor-in-Chief of Inc., stated that, “Not all the companies in the Inc. 500|5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy.”
