Fifth Annual TribeCon Highlights Intersection of Innovation, Music and Technology in New Orleans

TribeCon is Louisiana’s premiere social technology conference, created to inspire and educate through presentations by a wide-range of speakers.

TribeCon 2013The fifth TribeCon will be held on Halloween (October 31) at 2:00 PM at The Peristyle in City Park.

“We’re really excited to show off our creative side and this year’s Tribecon falls on Halloween, making it the perfect excuse to get a little weird-costumes are encouraged!” said Katy Tackett, Community Manager at Launch Pad and TribeCon organizer.

Held in conjunction with the Voodoo Experience, TribeCon is a gathering of tribes of techies, geeks, musicians and creatives designed to inspire creativity at the intersection of music and technology.

“I think it’s very exciting that we are focusing on the meeting of art and technology for this year’s TribeCon,” said Holly Hobbs.

TribeCon speakers include: Kody Chamberlain; Lizzy Margiotta; Wes McWhorter; Blake Haney; Sunken City; Ron Goldin; Thomas Knoll; Ron Domingue; Quintron; and comedian Chris Trew (@christrew) as emcee.

TribeCon 2013 now includes independently produced events. Organizers have expanded the conference to include events such as social dinners, sponsorships and workshops.

The Revelry Workshop series, new this year, kicks off on October 30th and will provide a full day of intensive, hands on sessions working directly with experts in participants’ respective fields. Learn more about the series and coaches at revelry.co/workshops.
