FundDat, a New Orleans-only crowdfunding platform, has announced they have accepted 10 featured projects for the company launch.
The 10 featured launch projects are: Bloom Box Farms, NOLA Bikinis, The Little Things, Whoa-Ga! Horseback Yoga, Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra, NOMAD Schools, Genesaisquoi “Bedroom Confessions Part II,” Maker Project for Kids, Maxwell Worthington’s Expanding Communications and Crescent City Lights Youth Theatre.
To celebrate, FundDat will be hosting launch party, A LIVE Crowdfunding Affair, which is one of the featured events during NOLATech Week. The party will be held tomorrow night (Tuesday) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Rusty Nail.
The first 100 people to register will be able to play our LIVE Crowdfunding Game with money sponsored by local companies called FundDat Dollars. Participants will be able to contribute to their favorite projects and the three projects that receive the most contributions during the event will take home a cash prize.
“We’re really excited to host our launch party during NOLATech Week because our goal is to help people in NOLA utilize technologies, like crowdfunding, to bring their ideas to life,” said Alex McConduit, co-founder of FundDat. “We hope to become the place where people find andfund the cool things that impact our city.”
