“Why is everyone in such a rush?”
The Webby Awards are awards for excellence on the Internet, presented annually by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The international Webby Talks tour, sponsored by The Webby Awards, is centered on “The Frenzy to be First,” or why, in the web age, everyone feels the need to be first.
The tour includes stops at Google, Disney, and BBC. Tomorrow at 7:00PM, The Frenzy for First talk will be at Propeller in New Orleans, an event that is free and open to the public to discuss online early adoption in social and marketing campaigns.
“Webby Talks is The Webby Awards unique view into the ever-changing landscape of what’s happening online, designed to provoke and inspire by highlighting some of the most innovative work and trends on the Internet,” explained a representative for the tour. “This Fall, Team Webby will visit nearly 200 of the worlds leading technology companies in 25+ cities around the world.”
While highlighting excellence in websites, interactive advertising and media, online film and video, mobile and apps and social sectors, The Frenzy for First also hopes to provoke and inspire listeners. Organizers want to share their views into the ever-changing landscape of what’s happening online.
