The Numbers Are in: NOLATech Week Was a Success

NOLATechWeeklogos-03 copyIf you think a giant festival of technology is impossible to plan in just six weeks, think again. NOLATech Week clocked in just shy of 1,000 registrants over the weeklong celebration of New Orleans’ accomplishments, community and potential.

“There is no doubt in my mind that NOLATech Week was a success,” said Founder Jason Seidman. “If that was something we can do in six weeks I’m really excited to see what will happen next year.”

NOLATech Week and its many community organizers, sponsors, businesses and participants created over 35 events throughout the week, an event which brought in nearly 5,000 hits to the website.

The average registrant attended 3.2 events. According to Seidman, there was no event where the event organizers were disappointed with engagement or attendance.

“I think in a lot of ways you all provided a service,” he continued, speaking to the Marquee partners in a recent meeting. “Tons of people have been telling us that they are grateful we hosted Tech Week.”

Organizers are looking forward to planning the next NOLATech Week and making slight adjustments, including more cross-promotion among event hosts and possibly a centralized registration process via eventbrite.
