Email archiving solution company, ArcMail Technology, has announced its inclusion in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA) for the second year in a row.
According to the Magic Quadrant for EIA, released on November 5th, “Organizations that have successfully implemented email archiving have seen associated benefits in their ability to better organize their data, eliminate PC-based storage, find information when they need it, produce it in response to a discovery request, and, as a side benefit, reduce the size of their primary and secondary storage environments.”
Gartner analysts Garth Landers and Alan Dayley wrote that, “Archiving as a service (aka cloud archiving) has rapidly surpassed on-premises archiving as the preferred deployment model for most organizations. Gartner sees 60% to 70% of new or replacement email archiving implementations as being cloud-based.” According to Dayley and Landers, the market is experiencing a five-year growth rate of 14.1% through 2017.
ArcMail CEO Rory Welch said that the robust EIA market momentum demonstrates the value and importance organizations are placing on archiving. “As the market has expanded, ArcMail has remained dedicated to innovation and has accelerated its development efforts, and we believe our inclusion in the 2013 Magic Quadrant is a major milestone for our company and our customers.”
ArcMail is considered to be one of the most versatile archiving vendors. With the recent launch of new archiving initiatives including the Defender VM, the company continues to expand.
“We’re tremendously proud of the recognition ArcMail has received from leading experts and thought leaders in our field,” said Welch. “Most importantly, we’re proud of the value, ROI, security and cost savings we continue to deliver to our customers day in and day out.”
The company has also created other archiving platforms such as the ArcMail Guardian™ and ArcMail Social.
