Access Health Louisiana Joins Baton Rouge Business Incubator

Louisiana Technology ParkThe cloud-based insurance software company Access Health Louisiana is the newest Louisiana Technology Park Member, a move confirmed by the Tech Park on Thursday morning.

Access Health is committed to bringing quality, convenient primary care to communities and people who have difficulty accessing healthcare.

The software was created for insurance agents to easily facilitate sales of health insurance plans under the new Affordable Care Act.

Ultimately, the goal is to allow anyone to use the site and make more informed choices about healthcare. Access Health is working towards enabling users to generate accurate premiums, read details of plan options, and contact company representatives with questions or other needs through the site.

Launched by John Howard and Derek Babcock, two Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Preferred Agents with the Preferred Agency of Louisiana, Access Health is growing in size and scope, which is why they welcome providers and partners who share their passion.

In May, Access Health partnered with Tulane University School of Medicine. The partnership, “will be available to improve the quality of care for our community, be a platform for educating the next generation of physicians and offer the opportunity of exploring better ways to innovate in terms of care,” according to Dr. Benjamin Sachs, Senior Vice President & Dean of the School of Medicine.
