Baton Rouge-based LocalMed is an online scheduling platform that allows patients to find dental providers and book appointments in real-time with the ability to customize their own reminders via text, email or voice notifications. The company recently announced their partnership with United Concordia Dental Insurance, providing participating dentists with a 20% discount off of LocalMed’s published rate.
The LocalMed platform allows users to get reminders of upcoming appointments via email, text, or mobile notifications.

Both companies share the same goal of wanting to provide the convenience of real-time scheduling that will benefit all parties involved, according to English.
United Concordia is one of the largest dental insurers in the country with more than 98,700 dentists and over six million members.
