Shreveport-based Moonbot Studios has released yet another well-received animated game. Moonbot’s latest, Lollipop 3: Eggs of Doom, is now available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Moonbot’s mission is to create the best books, films, apps, games, and entertainment out there. Led by award-winning artists and filmmakers William Joyce, Brandon Oldenburg, and Lampton Enochs, Moonbot previously created “Chipotle Scarecrow” for Chipotle Mexican Grill and the groundbreaking “Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” film, app and book.
Lollipop 3 features include a fast-paced, multi-touch, arcade-style gameplay, evolving mechanics that are easy to learn but difficult to master, upgrades and modes that can be earned or purchased, Facebook and Game Center leaderboards, and creatures brought to life by the studio.
Lucy Ingram is a freelancer who writes about mobile apps, games and technology. She reviewed Lollipop 3 and loved it: “Egg-citing, egg-centric, egg-cellent; before I go on, I have to say that Lollipop 3: Eggs of Doom is probably one of the most captivating iOS games I’ve played for some time. An onslaught of eggs have descended from Outer Space, causing turmoil and hassle as they bring with them an army of ‘Meanie Men.’ The aim is to catch and hatch the evil eggs, turning them into creatures of happiness and instead bringing rainbows, lollipops, and eternal joy to the world.”
