The Silicon Bayou Startup Showcase during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) will feature 8 local startups and entrepreneurs tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26th, 2014 following YLC’s Wednesday at the Square, at Le Foret.
The multi-level showcase, which includes rooftop and balcony access, will feature local DJ Blake Lindberg, free food and two bars.
Startups will show off products or other projects in a casual exhibit and networking event designed to highlight the local creative startup and entrepreneurial community!
The startups showcasing are:
Pixel Dash Studios
Pixel Dash Studios specializes in interactive media, video game development, graphic design, and 3D animation. The company works with clients to develop original products from the ground up or to improve existing products.
Wiley Cousins
Wiley Cousins designs and develop products, software, hardware, and firmware. The duo has experience in a wide variety of categories including printed circuit board design, software development, web development, 3D printing, 3D computer aided design and manufacturing, mechatronics, and interactive installations. Wiley Cousins specializes in getting products through MVP, alpha, and into beta.
FundDat
FundDat is a crowdfunding platform for projects created in or about New Orleans! We raised over $23k for local projects during our beta launch and we want to do more! We will be showcasing our site, telling people about our current projects and discussing all things crowdfunding.
Get Healthy, Inc.
GetHealthy is an evidence-based health and wellness platform that develops customized solutions and services for companies and insurance providers seeking to engage and improve the health of their employees and policyholders. The company drives engagement by delivering meaningful, peer-reviewed employee and policyholder services through comprehensive, creative, and personalized interventions.
mSchool
mSchool believes every student deserves an incredible, personalized education so they made it simple. The startup helps communities open and lead a one classroom micro-school. Think.Print 3D provides 3D printed design services, Solidworks and reverse engineering technology to the Greater New Orleans and Gulf Coast region. The company is a locally owned rapid manufacturing business bringing the city of New Orleans quality end products and prototypes from the revolutionary 3D printing machines.
52Businesses
The recently launched 52businesses will start a new business every week for a year and document the adventure online. Their mission is to showcase the accessibility of entrepreneurship by beginning with a business idea that they believe can become a fully functional and profitable business.
Tutti Dynamics
Tutti created an interactive video platform that enables musicians to practice playing with the world’s best artists and share their own recordings with teachers and friends. Tutti Music Player is used by programs at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Berklee College of Music, Tulane/Music Rising, 500 high schools and at Coursera, the online learning platform. Tutti Music Player runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC.
