Satellite Center Video and Animation Festival Highlights Local High School Students

Satellite CenterThe 9th Annual Satellite Center Video and Animation Festival (SCVAF) will be held this Friday, April 4th, at the Professional Learning Center in Luling, LA. The festival will showcase the creative talents of high school students from the Greater New Orleans region in areas including animation, broadcasting, film, documentaries, music videos, motion graphics and experimental film or animation.

“Whether you are attending as a creator or a critic we hope you have a wonderful time and take time to talk to the impressive young talent the Greater New Orleans area has to offer,” says SCVAF.

Public screening of submissions will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM followed by an awards ceremony from 7:15 to 8:15 PM.

Guest speaker Ken Keys of Gameloft, who has been working in the entertainment industry since the early 90s, will kick off the awards ceremony with a talk about what it takes for students to be successful in the film, broadcast or animation industries.
