Peer Conference for Financial Media Community Arrives in New Orleans This September

FinCon, the online personal finance media conference, is headed to New Orleans on September 18th through the 20th. The peer conference, now in its fourth year, aims to provide a platform where money and media meet, featuring topics including personal finance, writing, community, branding and entrepreneurship.

FinConThe conference was founded by PTMoney.com blogger Philip Taylor. Organizers are expect over 700 “money and internet geeks” in attendance. FinCon is the largest conference in the world serving financial bloggers, writers and professionals such as advisors and coaches.

Farnoosh Torabi, whose claim to fame stems from her work as a personal finance expert at Yahoo! Finance, will present the keynote.

Tom O’Donnell, Senior Vice President at JP Morgan Chase, key sponsor at #FinCon14, says, “[We are all] trying to get to the same place, which is better educated consumers, making better [financial] decisions…FinCon is a great chance to bring all of that together.”

Speakers submissions are being accepted through Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 with entrant notifications going out by May 31st.
