Propeller: A Force for Social Innovation, the New Orleans-based nonprofit organization that incubates innovative community-based ventures to solve local social and environmental challenges, has recently announced an update to their major annual event.
“Propeller Pop 2014,” the annual benefit and celebration of the 2013-2014 Social Venture Accelerator class of 15 Fellows. The event will take place on May 22nd from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM at the Propeller Social Innovation Incubator.
The fellows will be showcased alongside local food from pop-up chefs, drinks and cocktails from pop-up bars, pop-themed activities, a pop-up light installation and a silent auction.
Tickets to Propeller Pop are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Sponsor tickets to “Top Pop Hour” (6:00 PM – 7:00 pm) are $80, which includes early entry and premium food and beverages. Proceeds help support the 2014-2015 Accelerator and Alumni programming.
Pop-up chefs and mixologists include: Milkfish, Sarsparilla, Debbie Does Doerge, Matt n’ Amie, Purloo, Gemelli’s, Dom Vegan Delites, Splendid Pig, Blue Oak BBQ, and Bayou Brew. Ralph Brennan Catering proving hors d’oeuvres for the Top Pop Hour. Entertainment includes a pop-up light installation by Pelican Bomb featuring artist Jane Cassidy and DJ Suzy Moran.
