Couchster is a New Orleans-based food ordering platform that has delivered thousands of orders since launching last September. As of May 26th, the company will now deliver to the Central Business District, the Warehouse District and the French Quarter.
Couchster started out as online platform and has since expanded to employing a full scale delivery service. “If a restaurant does takeout, but not delivery…well, Couchster will deliver for them (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for lunch, and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for dinner),” explained CEO and founder Sean O’Neill.
“Having worked in the CBD myself, I know how limited the lunch options can be,” continued O’Neill, “especially in the summer heat, so I’m really pleased to be able to launch our service down there, and offer folks more, better, options for lunch and dinner.”
O’Neill said that with just a few clicks of their mouse, customers will be able to order lunch and dinner delivery from a number of their favorite area restaurants, making it faster and more convenient than ever for New Orleans residents and workers to enjoy that greatest part of the city: food.
They have 20-30 some odd restaurants that they are planning on offering delivery from to start with, “but, “ O’Neill says, “if customers want to be able to order from a restaurant we don’t have on the site, we just ask they give us a heads up and we’ll get it added ASAP.”
In the coming months, Couchster will be offering additional services, such as expanded hours, takeout orders from our partner restaurants, and more.
O’Neill says the team is excited and hopes the newly expanded customer based, as well as existing customers, are too.
