The first Rails Girls New Orleans took place in February 2014.
New Orleans Women in Technology (WIT), the organization that exists to improve the industry landscape for women in IT, has announced the second ever programming workshop will be in town September 19th and 20th, 2014.
The first New Orleans installment attracted women (and men) of all ages back in February. The second weekend long event will again be held at a local technology hub, this time at the iSeatz headquarters at 643 Magazine Street.
Registration is now open for the workshop that provides hands-on experience programming in Ruby on Rails and an introduction to CoffeeScript.
The workshop is open to all, but it will be required to bring your own laptop. Prior programming experience (in any language) is recommended, but we will accept 6 participants with no programming experience.
