Organizers expect over 10,000 attendees including entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, nonprofits, students and professional to participate in the more than 100 scheduled events.

Each event is designed to foster discussion, debate, education, competition, and celebration to support new ideas and elevate entrepreneurial thinking in New Orleans. Events include focused efforts on innovation in water, education, and arts.

In a shift from last year, there is 87% increase in number of entrepreneurs to be showcased. Throughout the week, there will be 30 pitch competitions and demos showcasing over 100 entrepreneurs. Over $275,000 will be awarded in cash and resources collectively.

“NOEW is the platform to experience the entrepreneurial movement in New Orleans,” said Tim Williamson, Co-founder and CEO of The Idea Village. “In addition to providing direct resources to support the efforts of leading entrepreneurs in our region, this year, we focused on developing useful programming for everyone in the community who is interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, and new thinking.”

NOEW officially kicks off at 8:00 PM on Friday, March 20th with an Opening Celebration at Fulton Alley on Fulton Street. The eight day celebration of entrepreneurship is open to all. Find out more at NOEW.org.
