The British government’s international business development agency is looking to show New Orleans businesses what their country has to offer. UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is hosting the ‘Britain Open for Business Breakfast’ to target innovative US companies interested in expanding their market share.
UKTI encourages and supports overseas companies to look at the UK as the best place to set up or expand their business.
The event will be a topical breakfast providing information on the UK business environment as well as how to set up a subsidiary in the UK. The breakfast will be held on Friday, March 6th at the Windsor Court Hotel and is free for attendees.
“The UK economy is one of the strongest in Europe and continues to attract American companies looking to expand overseas. We look forward to assisting your company in becoming a part of this thriving business environment,” explains the organization.
Breakfast discussion topics will include: current opportunities in the UK and legal considerations, including visas, establishing a UK entity and employment.
UKTI held a luncheon in January for New Orleans and Louisiana companies interested in expanding to the UK. Reps say there was a good turnout of tech and creative companies who have shown interest, including Hollywood Trucks, which is already taking steps into setting up an office in the UK.
