Finalists Selected for Student Entrepreneurship Competition Hosted by Drew Brees’ Foundation

The Drew Brees Foundation, in partnership with Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans(JA) and the local hub for entrepreneurs, The Idea Village, are gearing up for the annual Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge.

Trust Your Crazy Ideas Drew Brees Final Four 2015The Challenge, which is an annual entrepreneurship program and competition for local high school students, will hold its final round as part of the Student Entrepreneur Competition at NOLA NEXT: Young Innovators Experience during the 2015 New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

This year, student teams representing Mt. Carmel Academy, St. Mary’s Dominican High School and International High School have made it to the “final four” round following an earlier pitch.

The final pitches will take place tomorrow (March 21) from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Manning’s Restaurant. Students have a shot at receiving $10,000 and an additional $2,500 for their schools to go towards future financial literacy education.

Panelists include: Suzanne Alford, Vice President and Art Director at Alford Advertising; Dwayne Bernal, President and Chief Executive at Royal Engineers and Consultants; Joan Davis, Chancellor at Delgado Community College; Todd Matherne, Chief Executive Officer at Renaissance Publishing and Publisher of Biz New Orleans; John “Spud” McConnell, Professional Actor, Performer and Voice Talent; Nic Perkin, former CFO and Entrepreneur; and Tim Williamson, Co-Founder and CEO of The Idea Village.
