NOEW News: Capital X Sneak Peak

With NOEW 2015 here, we are busy getting a few last things in tip, top shape, and we’re super excited about all the stellar companies taking part in NOEW this year.

So, we wanted to give you a sneak peak at some of this year’s featured entrepreneurs. Capitalx is an invite only program where entrepreneurs and alumni of the program pitch their businesses to investors in an effort to raise funding. Capitalx culminates during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week at the the Coulter IDEApitch and Demo Day @ NOEW. Capitalx will feature fifteen companies ranging from an online health and wellness content platform, to a social networking app for dogs. Yup, you read that right. Here’s a brief look at the companies participating in the Capitalx program during NOEW.

Community HealthTV is an online platform that provides in-depth medical content for multicultural consumers. CHTV offers areas for interactive support communities, health and wellness tools, and answers to frequently asked medical questions.

Locally.com locates shoppers and assembles a marketplace with local products that can be purchased from online partners.

Your Nutrition Delivered

Your Nutrition Delivered provides healthy meals through direct-to-consumer resources and retail markets.

PlantBid

Plant Bid is an online marketplace for plant buyers to source plants from multiple sellers at once.

Striker VR

Striker VR is haptic and recoil simulation technology for military weaponry simulations.

Be Well Nutrition

Be Well Nutrition provides consumers with healthy food and beverage alternatives for on-the-go consumers. Their first product, ICONIC, is an all-natural, functional protein drink.

GetHealthy

GetHealthy is a health and wellness platform that develops customized solutions and services for: Direct Primary Care, Concierge Medicine, Accountable Care Organizations, Employers, and Insurance Providers.

Wedocracy

Wedocracy in an online social wedding planning website that helps coulpes streamline the wedding planning process.

Go To Interview

Go To Interview is an online employment service that gives employers the ability to view a candidate’s job interview prior to scheduling an in-person interview.

Where Y’Art is an online gallery with a curated selection of artwork ranging from painting and jewelry to furniture. It is a social shopping network where users can discover, follow, and shop directly from local artists.
