The Louisiana Technology Park is a business incubator based in Baton Rouge that connects high-tech startups with the resources they need to succeed. The facility hosts a Lunch & Learn series to introduce entrepreneurs to available training and economic development resources in the state.
On Wednesday, the Park will host a free event on the City Parish’s new Open Data BR initiative. Organizers say that participants will learn more about what went into the development of this platform, including the initial data sets available on the site and the many ways in which they can interact with this data.
Open Data BR is designed to increase transparency within government. Since launching around two months ago, the platform has received 250,000 unique visitors.
Participants will hear what is planned for the future and how members of the technology and software development community here in Baton Rouge can be a part of that future.
Registration is required by emailing Kasey Frioux at kasey@latechpark.com.
