Moonbot Studios, the Shreveport-based animation studio, was nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards for “Silent,” an animated short film. At the awards event last week, Moonbot walked away with two Emmy awards for the film, which was created in collaboration with Dolby Laboratories and Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
The film brought home awards in two categories: Outstanding Special Class Animated Program and Outstanding Directing in an Animated Program.
“Silent” is a 3-minute film featuring Mr. Morris Lessmore from the previous short film. The content celebrates how storytellers, inventors, and technology work together to create cinema magic.
“I am truly in awe of the collective talent and tenacity that thrives within Moonbot Studios. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with our incredible collaborators at Dolby and CAA, “ said Trish Farnsworth-Smith, head of production at Moonbot.
Co-directors, Limbert Fabian and Brandon Oldenburg were there to receive the awards at the 1,200 person event in Los Angeles.
Moonbot’s mission is to create the best books, films, apps, games, and entertainment out there. Led by award-winning artists and filmmakers William Joyce, Brandon Oldenburg, and Lampton Enochs, Moonbot previously created “Chipotle Scarecrow” for Chipotle Mexican Grill and the groundbreaking “Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” film, app and book.
