In-Q-Tel (IQT) has partnered with the digital forensics company BlackBag Technologies through a strategic investment and technology development agreement. The agreement will help drive the development of BlackBag’s forensic analysis technology.
While still headquartered in San Jose, BlackBag co-founder Paul Jordan moved to New Orleans last year so the company has a strong presence in Louisiana (as well as Herndon, VA).
BlackBag is an industry leading provider of forensics software and training solutions for Mac and iOS. The company specifically aims to support law enforcement through their multi-platform technology that assists in investigative casework.
“BlackBag is making a strong contribution to the next generation of digital forensics.” said Steve Bowsher, Managing Partner at IQT. “We’re looking forward to working with the BlackBag team as it continues development of forensic technologies to support the missions of our government customers.”
“We couldn’t be more excited,” added Derrick Donnelly, Chief Technology Officer at BlackBag. ”This partnership will help to accelerate our product roadmap, and thereby help us provide necessary innovation to the U.S. Law Enforcement and Intelligence Communities.”
