The first ever NX Conference (pronounced next) wants to put Louisiana on the map in terms of technology and entrepreneurship while promoting economic growth throughout the state. NX is about big ideas and the innovators who change the way we live and power economic development across all economic sectors.
NX will kick off on September 16 at the Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans.
“There are many entrepreneurial tech conference held across the United States but NX will be uniquely Louisiana because our mission is to shoutout to the nation and the world that Louisiana has arrived on the entrepreneurial and technology stages,” explains John Schneider, co-founder of the conference. “In Louisiana – and in New Orleans – we cherish our uniqueness and the conference will exhibit that uniqueness.”
Entrepreneurship and technology are present throughout all of Louisiana. NX plans to bring together the leaders, innovators, investors, and passionate players with technology for a three-day conference about all that is happening in the state that is educating, inspiring and informative.
“We know that each municipal area of Louisiana is doing something related to entrepreneurism and technology; this is a chance for it to be presented in one location,” said Schneider.
Organizers see NX as a game-changing event, a rallying call to action from Louisiana’s emergent entrepreneurial and tech sectors.
The NX schedule includes six keynote addresses by nationally recognized speakers and 24 breakout panel sessions covering a wide range of topics. Additionally, there will be the Battle of New Orleans, a Shark Tank-style startup competition for Louisiana entrepreneurs on Wednesday and an open session on Thursday.
