The Idea Village has opened applications for its three business accelerator programs as part of the 2016 Entrepreneur Season in New Orleans.
Founders looking to scale their ventures are invited to apply for the following programs:
- IDEAx: A 12-week accelerator program for 5 local founders creating scalable businesses in New Orleans. The program will culminate in a Demo Day in December, where participants will pitch The Idea Village network of mentors, investors, and professionals. - DIGITAL MEDIAx: A 12-week accelerator for 5 New Orleans-based founders with innovative digital information sharing concepts readily accessible on a mobile platform, hosted in partnership with NOLA Media Group. The program will culminate in a Demo Day in December, where the winner will receive $1,000 in cash and free office space at NOLA Media Group’s One Canal Place newsroom from January-March – as well as a networking trip to New York City sponsored by Advance Local. - ENERGYx: A 12-week accelerator program for 5 Louisiana-based oil and gas startups, hosted in partnership with the Southeast Louisiana Energy Initiative. Select participants will present their businesses to a panel of industry leaders for a $75,000 grant during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week 2016. Applications for IDEAx and DIGITAL MEDIAx will close at 11:59PM on Saturday, August 22nd, and applications for ENERGYx will close at 11:59PM CT on Friday, September 4th.

The Idea Village will host an information session on August 6th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM for individuals interested in learning more about the accelerators and the process.
