Applications are now open for the 12th cohort of the Launch Program, which is designed for those committed to launching a new product, service, or internal venture in the education space. The program is organized and hosted by the New Orleans-based early-stage education incubator 4.0 Schools.
Applicants have already put their idea into the real world and have the most potential for disrupting education. The ideas don’t have to be incorporated or have revenue or donors.
“If you’re a bold, gritty individual hungry to solve a tough problem, the Launch program will push you to test and iterate your envisioned solution until it is really meeting the needs of your end users,” explains 4.0 Schools.
The Launch Program offers entrepreneurs help in the following areas: marketing, legal, financial planning, strategic coaching, high level overview with goals and targets, weekly check ins, connect to schools and classrooms, and a community of support with education entrepreneurs across the country.
Participating entrepreneurs will have access to coaching, connections, and equity-free capital up to $5,000 throughout the 90 day program.
The 52 ventures launched in the first 11 cohorts have collectively earned over $3 million, raised more than $7 million, and served over 150,000 students, parents, and teachers.
Applications for cohort 12 are due by September 1, 2015.
