The Idea Village has launched NOEW365, an initiative to increase local participation during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) through a series of 10 unique events from September to February.
NOEW365 hopes attendees will meet new people, try new things, and form new partnerships leading up to NOEW 2016, which is taking place March 11-18, 2016 on Fulton Street in Downtown New Orleans.
“Last year we experienced deep local engagement at NOEW with 10,585 attendees, 43 partners, and over 121 local entrepreneurial companies showcased, ” said Tim Williamson, Co-founder and CEO of The Idea Village. “We believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. Our goal with NOEW365 is to engage the whole community in the entrepreneurial movement in New Orleans.”
The series kicked off last week at Communion, a brand new coworking space in the Central Business District.
The event theme was “Unplugged: Disconnect to Connect” and it encouraged attendees to turn off phones and other devices to engage in networking activities meant to encourage good old-fashioned conversation.
“Our goal with NOEW365 is to partner with new groups in the local community and experiment with new ideas that push the envelope of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in New Orleans,” said Victoria Adams Phipps, Executive Producer of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week. “The result will be an enriched experience during NOEW that connects to the broader community as a whole.”
