Second Annual ‘Bring Your Daughter to Hack Day’ to be Held at UNO

New Orleans Women in Technology is hosting Bring Your Daughter to Hack Day” for boys and girls ages four through 17 on October 3 from 9:30am to 3:00pm at the University of New Orleans (UNO).

Bring Your Daughter to Hack DayThe event encourages kids, especially girls, to engage with technology and STEM fields from a young age.

Although there will be volunteers at the event throughout the day, organizers encourage the attendance of parents because the daily is built around working together and promoting family engagement in technology.

Participants can can choose between four interactive workshops that range from electronic engineering to coding, to video production. Workshops include: Thinkerella’s STEAM Laboratory for (ages 4­8), Electric Girls Work Bench (ages 8­12), Elephant Quilt Video Studio (Ages 11+), and Website Factory with Tech Talent South (Ages 11+).
