TechCrunch has decided to come back to New Orleans for another TC Meetup + Pitch-Off on October 8, 2015 in conjunction with NOLATech Week.

The event, held at the New Orleans Jazz Market, will be both a meetup for the community and a pitch competition for the best local startups.
TechCrunch hopes to attract investors, entrepreneurs, dreamers and tech enthusiasts to network and pitch to impress the judges.
Applications for the pitch-off are due this Friday.
Ten startups will have sixty seconds to pitch their ideas and companies to a live audience and a panel three to five of expert judges that will include TechCrunch writers and local VCs. The pitches will be followed up with a brief question and answer session to determine the winner.
First place winner will get a table in Startup Alley at the next TC Disrupt conference, second place winner will receive two tickets to the same conference, and the Audience Choice winner will receive one ticket.
