Tech-Driven Dining Experience Launches at Rebellion During NOLATech Week

NOLATech Week attendees are invited to participate in an interactive, technology-driven dining experience kicking off Monday, October 5 with an opening reception at 7:00pm.

IDEACoDE, the brainchild of Z-Labs, the innovation department of Zehnder Communications, will be held at Rebellion Bar & Urban Kitchen. The installation will feature multiple experimental projects displayed as a digital gallery inside the restaurant and will allow diners the opportunity to influence live digital artwork during lunch, dinner and happy hours.

Z-Labs says IDEACoDE, which stands for Interactive Display, Environmental Art, Computational Design and Engineering, focuses on the use of digital design, coding, 3-D printing and engineering to transform a public space. The experience also explores how an environment can be affected over a period of time by human and robotic interactions from both inside and outside the physical space.

“Movement of the crowds will collectively create a digital abstract painting, while social conversation on Twitter will change the story being told by data-driven visualizations projected on to the gallery wall.”

The DIY experiments will be on display through October 10, the end of the weeklong celebration of technology and innovation in New Orleans.
