InnovateHER is a pitch competition seeking the most innovative products and services that help impact and empower women’s lives. The Small Business Administration (SBA) and Microsoft are hosting local pitches leading up to the InnovateHER Finals in March.
The New Orleans pitch competition will take place on Wednesday, December 2 at Landing Zone, a new 20,000 square foot business incubator and coworking space.
Applications are due by Monday, November 23 (an extension from the original November 18 date) at lznola.org. The SBA will consider products or services that have a measurable impact of the lives of women and families, have the potential for commercialization, and fill a need in the marketplace.
The competition is open to all who fit the listed criteria. Judges will be entrepreneurs and business people from the New Orleans area.
“Building on the success of the SBA’s inaugural 2015 InnovateHER Business Challenge, we are pleased to announce that Landing Zone has been selected as a local host to the SBA’s InnovateHER 2016: Innovating for Women Business Challenge and Summit,” revealed Landing Zone.
Each local winner will be sent for consideration to compete in the final found in Washington, D.C. During the Finals, ten ventures will compete for the top three cash prizes totaling $70,000 provided by Microsoft.
