“There is a belief that seeking investors is the only way to grow your business,” says the event description. “Entrepreneurs are hungry for the capital, especially if it comes from someone else.”

This panel discussion will explore alternative sources of funding for your startup, especially for those who aren’t in New York or Silicon Valley.

Each panelist is part of a company that have annual revenue of upward of a million dollars, and in some cases much more. They have all attained starting capital through different avenues, whether  whether it was bank loans, credit cards, savings, or outside investors.

Panelists will each discuss personal stories and different funding alternatives, as well as how to pay them back, pros and cons, etc so that other entrepreneurs can get a sense of what type of funding would work for them.

Adriana Lopez, moderator of the event, said, “Each of the speakers were chosen because they bring completely different insight and perspectives to the conversation.”

Panelists include: Trey Fayard, founder and CEO, GLO; Peter Bodenheimer, COO, Plantbid; Brian Bordainick, founder and CEO, Dinner Lab; and James Yockey, co-founder, Landdox.
