Crowdfinder App Scenehound Launches in New Orleans

Scenehound, a mobile app that simplifies the way you plan your night out, has launched today in both the iOS and Android app stores.

ScenehoundThe app connects users to their community while providing them with a real-time snapshot of the restaurant and bar activity in their area. In less than 10 seconds, the app gathers reviews and wait time for restaurants, and crowd size and male to female ratio for bars.

“We’re very excited to be providing an app that people have expressed great interest in for quite some time. It’s definitely been a long road to get here and we’re ecstatic to be launching this service from right here in New Orleans,” said Michael Underwood, CEO and founder of Scenehound.

Scenehound made it to the final round in the Blackstone Big Idea during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) last month. Underwood moved the startup to New Orleans at the beginning of April after participating in a program designed to attract entrepreneurs to the city, run by The Idea Village, the producers of NOEW, and partners.

After weeks of beta testing Scenehound, Underwood had generated enough feedback to announce the official launch. “Our test users have already been telling us that Scenehound’s app’s interface is fun and easy to use – we believe that will definitely keep the users up-beat and coming back time and time again.”
