VenturePOP Conference for Creatives Heads Into Second Year

Calling all creatives! The second annual VenturePOP Conference is taking place September 17-18 at the People’s Health New Orleans Jazz Market.

Graphic designers, web developers, artists, freelancers, product developers, consultants, writers, independent workers, entrepreneurs, online educators, makers and creative thinkers are invited to attend.

VenturePOP was designed by a team of local New Orleanians to support creative entrepreneurs and their ventures with one mission: to take businesses to the next level. Organizers said the two-day experience is designed specifically for creative professionals to share their passion for creative entrepreneurship, learn about business growth and collaborate with others on the same mission.

Speakers include: Tara Gentile, founder, Quiet Power Strategy®; Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson, co-founders, Being Boss Podcast; Wesley Verhoeve, photographer, One of Many; Puno Dostres, founder, punodostres; Sarah Morgan, founder, XOSarah.com; Shenee Howard, creator, 100 People Project; and David Jones II and Jesse LaBauve, co-founders, Pioneer Collective.

VenturePOP is organized by business consultant Kristy Oustalet, creative director Justin Shiels, and design studio owner Ciera Holzenthal.

“The three of us came together over the idea that while entrepreneurial resources are prevalent here in New Orleans, not many apply to the creative entrepreneur,” said Sheils. “We want to create something that is bigger than our individual businesses, VenturePOP is a community.”

Tickets include both days of programing, networking opportunities, and access to the after party.
