Tulane’s Football Stadium Just Got Hooked Up by AT&T

It’s officially college football season, which as per usual means tailgating and showing school pride. In addition to the usual game day madness, Yulman Stadium at Tulane University now has access to boosted mobile internet coverage with help from AT&T.

AT&T has installed a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to upgrade the network, making sharing photos or accessing fantasy football on mobile faster than ever at this New Orleans stadium.

“When our customers cheer on their favorite team, we want them to have a great network experience. We’ve improved the network so they can easily make calls, post selfies or track stats at the game,” said Leo Marsh, AT&T Louisiana External Affairs. “We continue to invest in our wireless network in the area to help customers stay connected when it matters most.”

Tulane University President Mike Fitts said this partnership with AT&T promises to make game day at the stadium more exciting.

From 2013 to 2015, AT&T has invested over $1 billion in Louisiana. The company also recently announced three Fiber Ready designated buildings: the Urban League of Greater New Orleans Building, Mid-City Market, and 643 Magazine St. As of July, the tenants of these buildings, such as the coworking space Launch Pad and entrepreneurial hub The Idea Village, now have access to AT&T’s fiber-based high-speed services.
